TAHUB (COVERED OR HIDDEN) BEACH RESORT,CARAMOAN-all exclusive

July 5, 2010
TAHUB (COVERED OR HIDDEN) BEACH RESORT,

TAHUB (COVERED OR HIDDEN) BEACH RESORT,
Ang maganda po nito ay nasa beach po kayo kahit gabi. You can swim at night or do
beach walking for firefly  watching or just walking with the stars above you.
Yun usual route po kasi  ay nasa town stay ang mga tourist at ang location ng
town ay 15  to 30 minutes away sa coastal. Everytime they go island hopping, they
ride a jeep going to coastal.Nasa town kasi ang mga hotels.  Dito dinadala ng
karamihan ng mga tour services ang mga guests nila. But since mas may alam po
kami ng lugar,we forsee po the disadvantanges of the town and inconvience pos a
tourists.
Ito new resort ay maganda at last march,2009 lang nag open.White sand cove
beach.Located siya sa tip ng caramoan which hindi pa gaano napupuntahan ng mga
tourists because of the distance.Napupuntahan yun mga islands na bihira pa
mapuntahan ng mga tourists.
Malaki boat ang gagamitin (capacity 30 pax) sa pag island hopping so very safe
and comfortable.Hidi na bubuhatin ng mga kargador sa port kasi it’s a tradition
sa sabang port na buhatin ang sasakay sa boat.
Ang disadvantage lang, the convenience is all at the town. Sa tahub beach,
because of its distance, wala signal ang tv or hanapin ang signal sa celphone.
But if you really want to relax and escape the city life for days, this place is
for you.
white. So kahit sa Tahub lang, okey na. This place is the best for TEAM
BUILDING,  (SEA)SELF EVALUATION ACTIVITIES, ETC. of the companies/groups and
organization.
So, if talagang gusto po nyo ng exclusivity of your group and nature, this place
is for you.
Thanks.

Before-So litle was known about Caramoan. It just a simple town in Camarines Sur.People are involved in trading/fishing/farming.The town was still influence with left leaning group.

1989-Fr.Felix Barela was assigned in Caramoan and he built

the statue of Blessed Virgin Mary of peace which is situated at the top of  Mt.Caglago,tabgon,Caramoan.It  started as a pigrimage tour to caramoan of priests, nuns and believers who visited the shrine. After their religious tour to the grotto, Father Felix Barela sidetrip the guests to the beautiful islands. The blessed statue started the tourism in Caramoan.

1989-1998-local Mountaineers( us as a part of it ),backpackers, campers and outdoor enthusiasts came in caramoan to explore, discover, hike and camp at the best islands, beaches, caves and mountains.

1999-2004-Former Governor and now Hon .congressman of 2ND District of Camarines Sur-Luis R.Villafuerte promoted the caramoan extensively by promotional ads,in trade fair, magazines, photo contests, etc.to the world.

2004-Present-The Present, energetic, young and good looking, flamboyant, workaholic, industrious> Hon.Governor L-Ray Villafuerte who made Cam.Sur well known to the world by creating the 1ST WORLD CLASS Wake Boarding Center CWC) in the Philippines, also developed the gota beach into a world class resort. He aggressively promoted Caramoan to the world through magazines, newspapers, etc., hostingof different events & activities such as the French Survivor,Israel survivor series.Caramoan is now attracting a lot of tourist from all over the world and made Camarines Sur as the number one(1) tourist attraction in Bikol because of Him.

Baklay Caramoan 2010

January 20, 2010

KADLAGAN

AdVenture voyage
Date:March 26,27,28,29,2010 for first batch, April 30-May 3 for 2nd batch and June 11-14,2010 for 3 rd batch

So much has happened at Caramoan peninsula after the French, Bulgaria, Israel and Serbia Survivor reality series which was held at the said place last summer 2008-2009. The Backpacker’s secret destination for a long time is now so popular to the world. The young, energetic, dynamic Hon.Gov. L-Ray Villafuerte developed Caramoan as prime Eco Tourism destination in Camarines Sur.  He established world class resort in Gota which is now attracting a lot of tourist all over the world. He changed the Bicol tourism by making Cam Sur as the number one tourist destination in the country. According to Department of Tourism data of influx of domestic and foreign tourist in the Bikol region CWC or Camarines Sur Water Sports Complex is in first place. Caramoan islands in the second place and Donsol Whale Shark interaction in third place.   Caramoan Peninsula still preserved its adventure, backpacking and outdoor appeal all these because of the environmental efforts of the Governor L-Ray Villafuerte.  It did not turn into Boracay type atmosphere which more of the conservationist and environmentalists concerns. Caramoan peninsula is still hidden, far and still unexplored and mysterious as it used to be.
Kadlagan Outdoor Shop and Services is one of the pioneer explorers and organized package adventure tour in Caramoan since 1995 is organizing Baklay Sa Caramoan. It started last 1998 and becomes an annual adventure event.
This summer, its time to relax, rejuvenate, heal ourselves and escape the hot, cramming city life. Time to be slow and go back again to the outdoor. Time to go to places where we will experience nature again to at its best. Sleep at the sand along the beach under the stars, see shells, star fish or any creatures of the sea, smell the pure air sea breeze, Where cellphone signals is intermittent. Sometimes it is in the middle of the sea .no gadgets, no national news, no so much people and little traces of civilizations. Simply a paradise! If you want to go to Caramoan and experience its nature to the maximum, be filled with adventure such as, hiking, island hopping, snorkeling, etc. See almost all the beautiful islands and leave your worries behind be with nature because we are going to CIRCUMNAVIGATE the whole peninsula for  4 days by big
boat  then this event is for you.
In this connection, The Kadlagan Outdoor Shop, the doorway to Bikol Mountains and scenic places is initiating again…….

Secret Island Resort in Caramoan

August 19, 2009

Try our new package.Kadlagan tour new caramoan route.

The Tahub (hidden) beach resort island. It is located at the coastal of  Caramoan. A white sand cove with coconut trees. The area is still very isolated so it is very seldom reach by the tourists.
The sea at the beach is full of marine life such as fish, live corals, starfish, etc.which is very good for snorkeling and fishing. The resort’s back is a nipa and mangroove swamp forest  which houses crabs which can be spotted by lights roving the beach during dark nights. The mangroves trees are full of fireflies at night so firefly watching is a must at night or just simply strolling at the beach during full moon or dark moon which millions of stars above you in a clear night sky can make you full of wonders and excitement.
Since its opening last may,2009 up to the present, we brought pioneering groups to the island and all of them were simply amazed of the place.
The difference of this resort with the other resorts in caramoan is the nature itself and the exclusivity of the guests. The island is yours alone or with your group alone once you are booked with us. You can swim at the beach, stroll, or just simply relax, rejuvenate, or smell the pure, fresh air.
During the night socials,You can also sing your heart out loud till you drop at their videoke without thinking of the other guests sleeping or disturbing them with your singing because the night is your group’s alone.
Another is the location. Most of the hotels are located at the town which is a 15 minutes rides by jeep or tricycle from the port and 15 minutes ride again by jeep or tricycle to the coastal so you need to hurry going back to the town after island hopping before dawn and stay at the hotels at the town during the night.
But at the resort island, no need to worry, you are at the beach resort even at night.
Your meals at night and lunch is fresh seafoods such as fish, squids or crabs which are freshly catch at the sea. It can be served grill ,fried or juice it with coconut milk(gata).

Sakat Sa Asog

February 4, 2009

Sakatt kan mga Urastigon

Date January 24-25, 2009

by Elma Padua and Ivan Rivera

We assembled at the Naga City CBD Terminal at around 6:00 am. There were six us: Ted Ruiz, a 56-year-old American missionary who could speak Tagalog and few Bicolano phrases. Boyet and Patrick, both long time mountaineer from Manila; Jojo Villareal, the climb organizer; and Elma Padua the lone female climber. We were supposed to be joined by another female but unfortunately unexpected events came up.

We boarded a bus to Iriga City then transferred to a jeepney to Buhi Municipal Hall. We spent a few minutes buying additional supplies in the wet market and took some pictures of the lake. Finally we boarded a tricycle to our jump-off point at Barangay Cabatuan. When Boyet and Patrick were checking their packs they found out that the first aid pack was missing so they went back to the town proper and luckily found it hanging on the Municipal Hall’s fence.

The hike was as “U trek” because of the shape of terrain. We took our lunch while on the trail nearby a spring faucet. As we moved on we felt our back pack getting heavier every step. Yet, when we were at a certain altitude we were rewarded with awesome view of the lake, the town against the background of lush mountain greens. The rain started to fall as we moved closer to our base camp. We decided to take a shelter in an unfinished chapel. When the rain stopped we continued our hike until we reached Camp Esplana, our base camp, at past 4PM.

At the base camp we hurriedly set up the tent because the rain was starting to fall again. Luckily there was an abandoned house nearby which we used as a place for cooking our food and socials at night. Evidently, the house caused us discomfort because of the stench goat droppings but our nose got used to it. While taking our dinner each talked about their climbing experiences and some information about themselves. After the dinner and socials we checked our tent and it was good and up but the groundsheet was soaking wet from heavy downpour. We decide to sleep in the abandoned house instead. We fixed our bedding yet it was difficult to sleep because the dogs and goats were trying take shelter with us plus the sound of the animals and the howling of the wind.

Early next morning we prepared our breakfast and suit up for the climb. The plan was to climb the peak of Mt Asog but our guides led us to the rim of the volcano crater. Mt. Asog is a dormant volcano. We went through the ridges hidden under trees and bushes and tall grasses. From the rim, we saw the bottom of the crater which was full of pine trees and dense vegetation. We spent few minutes taking pictures. There was no trail that led us to the peak from the crater so we went back to the base camp. It took less than an hour to go up to the crater and back down.

The ascent to the peak was difficult. We did not find the established trail instead created our own trail. We walked, climbed and crawled through the thick sharp blade of cogon grasses. The ascent was almost risky because of the terribly steep terrain. Later we faced a dead end, a vertical wall very close to the ridge and decided to settle there. From there we enjoyed the view and savor the moment. After few minutes, we slid down. The descent was easy and fun. We took our lunch in the base camp and packed up. From the base camp hiked down to Barangay Santiago then took a ride on a tricycle to Iriga City.
